Morocco: Ouarzazate (Ait Ben Haddou), part 5
Continuing to show you the many things I enjoyed seeing and photographing inside Ait Ben Haddou.
I have seen many shops here that sells doors. It was puzzling to me.
Universal rule with any attraction is that you exit through the gift shop. Here you enter and exit through a row of stores.
We stopped here for lunch after a visit to the ksar. The sun was high and the heat was becoming unbearable. Good thing we were going for a long drive after lunch.

ReplyDeleteA Shutter Bug Explores ~ aka ~ (A Creative Harbor)
Such wonderful photos! Love the contrasts.
ReplyDeleteSo much to see! And your first photos take ordinary things and because you focus on them they become so unique!
ReplyDeleteLove the stonework & stone stacks!
ReplyDeleteThe vivid colours used in the rugs etc would really tempt me!
It looks like a vibrant place - nice shots!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many great photos in here. Yeah, it feel a bit bizarre to sell doors. How will you know if they fit. I guess they are used in other type of settings. The textiles are nice too. Morocco looks so vibrant!
ReplyDeleteExactly as you said, it is a universal rule! Those stones on top piled with one another seem delicate for anyone below. They might be blown by strong winds, or just seek gravity, and will fall down. Even the molded walls seem not very strong! What do you think.
ReplyDeleteYour Morocco posts are such a treat. Awesome sights!!
